Probably not.
You've heard many boos tonight.
We're looking for chocolate.
If a toothbrush lands in the bag...
I will stand in your yard and boo. Booooo! Booooooooo!
Trifecta Writing Prompt
33-333 words, including the 3rd definition of boo.
Boo: (verb) to show dislike or disapproval of someone or something by shouting “Boo” slowly
We are going to trick or treat on Thursday (not dressed as prostitutes), and I will be looking for the chocolate. Reese's Cups. Almond Joys. Crunch Bars. (I had a dream about a Crunch Bar last week.) Not that I am going to collect candy; that is Katarina's job. But I will help her eat said candy. And I really would boo, at least internally, if someone was to hand out toothbrushes.
If you are going to participate in Halloween, you have to really participate. With candy. Because that is how it works.
What kind of candy do you give away on Halloween?
I agree!! Every year I am tempted to get the crappy candy just os I won't eat it...but then I don't. I go for chocolate. And maybe some nerds. I love nerds. The candy. Well..the people too..but not to eat.
ReplyDeleteI love nerds, too! They are some of my favorites (the candy and the people).
DeleteI'm told we're to expect 300 trick-or-treaters in our new house.
ReplyDeleteYikes.
WOW. That is a huge amount of trick or treaters.
DeleteSadly, we don't get trick-or-treaters. We live in the woods and people can't find our house. Boo!
ReplyDeleteAh. That is sad. If I lived near you, I could stop by and then we could just split a bag of candy by ourselves.
Deleteas a friend of mine pointed out, we received pennies from a house one year. who the heck gives out pennies?
ReplyDeleteThat is really random. We've only done the trick or treating thing once before, so I'm not an expert, but I have never heard of people handing out pennies.
DeleteI have to admit I live in nowhere, so we drive to town to take the kids trick or treating. Last year we had no one to take, which was nice, even though we went with our friends. This year we get to take the grandbaby.
ReplyDeleteHow much fun was that!? (I'm guessing a lot of fun.) I can't believe I missed seeing pictures of the grandbaby all dressed up. We don't live in a great trick or treating area, either.
DeleteAll of the little kids in our neighborhood have outgrown TorT so I don't even have an excuse to get candy.
ReplyDeleteSad. There should always be excuses to have candy!
DeleteWe don't do Halloween here, so boo!
ReplyDeleteBoo! I guess it would confuse your neighbors greatly if your kids knocked on their doors in costume and asked for candy. lol.
DeleteDon't miss trick-or-treat shenanigans, but I do miss the candy corn!
ReplyDeleteI love candy corn.
DeleteWe are giving Kit Kats, but I kind of secretly hope no one takes any, so I can have them all to myself!-Ashley
ReplyDeleteI buy a bunch of kit kats praying that since all the other houses in our cul de sac don't participate people would skip our lonely porch light and I can keep them.
DeleteKit Kats are one of my favorites! I hope you had some left over.
DeleteYeah! What's with the toothbrushes? I mean, come on!
ReplyDeleteI love chocolate!
Chocolate is always a good thing.
DeleteDo y'all do Halloween in France?
They'd be lucky to only get a boo in response to a toothbrush. I'm thinking more flaming bags of dog poo.
ReplyDeleteHa! A woman after my own heart.
DeleteWe have never had a trick or treater come to our door. Usually I buy candy (just in case) and wind up eating it all. This year I didn't even do that! =)
ReplyDeleteF.Y.I. - I just realized that when I moved my blog ... I somehow managed to mess up my RSS subscriptions. E-mail subs are fine. If you would be so kind as to resubscribe I would be ever so thankful! http://feeds.feedblitz.com/butterflymasterpiece
Of course I will resubscribe! :)
DeleteYou are a stronger woman than I. There is no passing up the candy aisle when I am the one shopping.
