Five Things I Would Like to do Before I Die
1. Be published - in a book or a magazine, where I can hold my words in my hands.
2. Skydive.
3. Travel through Europe, preferably by train. (I would love to do the train thing across Canada, too.)
4. Build a house - maybe something like this Hobbit House.
5. Pilot a plane (this should be a separate experience from skydiving, because, obviously).

Five People I Invite to do this Meme
I love what Andrea at Good Girl Gone Redneck did here - a shout out to five people you should go visit. I've already linked to five awesome bloggers in this post; go visit them.
You may consider yourself tagged to play along with this. I want to see your five times seven answers. Especially the ones about books, because I always need new book recommendations.
Love this and love your blog! Hopping over from SRT :) signed up for everything you have...love your wit and wisdom.
ReplyDeleteYour first list is mine dead on. End of story.
Second list, I would love to be published too, I would skip the skydiving! My son did that last year, he loved it once he was out of the plane, lol. I've been to Europe, luckily, "I could see Russia from my back door" as Sarah Palin would say. I was three hours from the border! Lived in Estonia, Latvia, visited Poland, Lithuania, Denmark and Rome. We were missionaries :) I have got to build a house once in 34 years of marriage. I will skip the books because this is long!
Blessing to connect with you!
Nannette, a.k.a. Candace Jo
Thank you so much! What a lovely compliment. I'm excited to connect with you, too.
DeleteMy husband is terrified of planes, so skydiving seems completely ridiculous to him. It sounds like y'all got to go to some amazing places during your ministry. That is awesome.
I really love what you chose as your passions and the way you define your goal of being published as "holding your words in your hands". That's such a great way to put it!
ReplyDeleteThank you. That really is one of my biggest dreams.
DeleteYes, we hold the words in our hands. To the fulfillment of all these goals!
ReplyDeleteThanks. To the fulfillment of yours, as well!
DeleteI do hope you achieve the dream of being published, Tracie!
ReplyDeleteThank you for playing!
Thank you, Alison! I think this has been my favorite #OSBlog so far.
DeleteYes - Beauty & the Beast made the list :)
ReplyDeleteOf course!! ;-)
DeleteExcellent lists! I really enjoyed reading your lists of five -- and we have quite a few things in common! I would LOVE to go to Europe and see it all from the wide window of a train... what a dream come true!
ReplyDeleteWouldn't that be amazing?! I hope it is a dream that comes true for both of us.
DeleteI love it! In my heart, I believe you will be published one day. You are too talented not to be. And number 5, pilot a plane, haha, obviously. Have you read the Outlander series? I have them, but I haven't read them yet. They are next on my list.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Stevie. That made my heart happy this morning.
DeleteI have been reading the Outlander series. I'm four books in, and waiting for the next one to be available at the library. Let me know what you think of them once you start!
I love you. And is that Diana Gabaldon new? I don't remember that one.
ReplyDeleteI love you, too! ;)
DeleteIt is number four in Outlander, but I don't think that is the original cover.
Oh I am so glad you think Giraffe Manor is awesome too! I am so determined to go there! My husband does not seem to be as excited about it as me, but I am going to keep at it. It's a bucket list place for me!! So much fun to read your post - I am having fun getting to know all my blog friends better!!
ReplyDeleteGiraffe Manor is so very awesome. I hope both of us make it there one day.
DeleteI really enjoy these list posts, too. It is funny how much new information you get about people when you read them.
" Be published - in a book or a magazine, where I can hold my words in my hands." - I love that so much. I love that so many of us say "I love you" a lot and I love that so many of us want to see Alaska. May we all hold our dreams in our hands!
ReplyDeleteI love that so many of us say "I love you," too. The Alaska thing surprised me, but I guess great minds think alike!
DeleteGet thee to Oregon, woman! And seriously, group trip to the Giraffe Manor anyone?
ReplyDeleteI always think of you when I hear the phrase, rock my face off. I love that about you:)
Yes, please on the group trip to Giraffe Manor. We should leave out from Oregon, so I can work both of those dream trips in at one time!
DeleteI love you.
I love what you say about being published. And I hope you are!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Ilene!
DeleteI love that you are going to use "that rocks my face off" - that makes me smile.
ReplyDeleteI still have a couple of Outlanders to hold me over until I reach the new one.
I love "Are You Serious Right Now"....I totally say that all time!! Am loving this meme!-Ashley
ReplyDeleteHa!! I love that you say that one, too.
DeleteI want to live in a hobbit house too!!! How enchanting.
ReplyDeleteBarbara @ www.allmylivesnow.com
Right?! It is so very cute - and not crazy expensive, either. I especially like that part.

ReplyDeleteAwesome!! Thank you so much :)
DeleteI like these lists of 5 things gives me a chance to learn abit about you, I can tell you skydiving is not for me scared of open heights............
ReplyDeleteNo one in my family will do it with me, either.
DeleteIt is fun to share little answers to questions like this. I'm glad you enjoyed it, too.
You are brave to want to skydive. I don't think I could ever do it.
ReplyDeleteGood movie list, although I've never seen The Postman...
The Postman is awesome! I saw it last year for the first time. Couldn't believe I had missed it for all those years.
DeleteOregon made my list too in addition to the being published part of course. I hope we all realize our dreams. :)
ReplyDeleteYES! I hope we all can. That would be amazing.
DeleteYour passions are definitely mine, even though some of them didn't make it to my list. It's hard to choose five! LOL! And you want to pilot a plane??? You're more woman than me, Tracie! :-)
ReplyDeleteIt is SO hard to pick just five. Oh my goodness. I'm glad they asked for five books recently read, because there is no way I could pick five favorites.
DeleteI would LOVE to pilot a plane! :)
"That rocks my face off!" Haha. Love that!
ReplyDeleteI want to travel too! Confession: I've never read an Agatha Christie novel. My sister does not approve.
:-) That is my special phrase!
DeleteYou must fix this lack of Agatha Christie immediately. I'm with your sister on that one!
That's a great selection of books :) And you should definitely come to the UK!
ReplyDeleteOne day......one day! :)
DeleteSo interesting how life interconnects us. I used to blog last year, then I had a breakdown of sorts. Took refuge under my covers for months. When I was a blogger, I did read you, and I believe you reciprocated. Today I googled "Sexual Abuse Survivor Blogs" and it brought me here to you. I watched your video and was moved to tears. The world is small, and we are meant to interconnect. Thank you for being honest, and making me feel like I'm not alone. Oh and the "Five" meme is awesome...except I could not think of five things I say or five books I've read recently if you paid me! I need me a catch phrase...or five!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad you are back to blogging....and out from under the covers. I have been in that place, and it is no good.
DeleteWe were definitely meant to interconnect. <3
I did this meme at my blog. I got it from thestickymom.com. You should check it out! I'm Jennice and my blog is Mommy In Color..mommyincolor.com
ReplyDeleteYay! I will check it out. :)
