Happiness Is A Home Cooked Dinner

We went to a friend's house last week, and she let Katarina make spaghetti for dinner. It was great fun, as Katarina dearly desires to cook.

And it was very yummy, too!

Happiness is a home cooked meal, and getting to see the proud look on your daughter's face when everyone sits down at the table to eat her dinner.

What is making you happy today?

  1. Tracie what I find even greater is you openly admit you are not a cook and are willing to let your daughter learn from someone else. Maybe you both could go take some lessons somewhere. Both of ya learning to cook together would make some awesome memories..

  2. She is so beautiful, Tracie. I agree with you about home cooked dinners. Even though it's just Dominic and me, home cooked meals are a time to talk about our day and whatever else we'd like to discuss. I love that.

  3. I wish you guys lived closer. I'd be more than happy to have your lovely, funny daughter cook some meals in our kitchen! My husband and I are big cooks and would love to teach her anything from paella to homemade bread. Glad she enjoyed the process and her final product. Some homemade spaghetti sounds delicious right about now!

  4. Oh my goodness - look how gorgeous and grown-up your daughter looks!

I'm trying to trust my kids in the kitchen, but it's hard to be patient and let go.
