Standing out in the field with tears streaming down my face, hoping and praying that the ball would stay far away from me, I looked up and saw the moon. Who could be upset by a little ball game when the moon was making an appearance during the day? It was magic.
I eventually learned that is is completely normal for the moon to make a daytime appearance. But even with that knowledge, when I look up on a bright day and see the moon shining down on me, I feel a little bit of that magic.
I am not a T-Ball champion, but the moon loves me, and that makes me happy.
What is making you happy today?
Summer time is the best time to see that here. I love it too. PS> I still don't like throwing balls or catching them.
ReplyDeleteI love you too, Traci! And I would kick that mean old coach in the shins ... or a little further north!
ReplyDeleteI love that! I too hated baseball but loved the daytime moon. This post gave me a flashback.
ReplyDeleteMy kids always love seeing the moon during the day too.
ReplyDeleteThis is so wonderful. My son (5) gets a kick out of seeing the moon in the daytime.
ReplyDeleteI'll never forget one T-ball game my daughter had. A ball was hit center field and there on second base was a player who decided to take a nap. Baseball is boring for some I guess.
ReplyDeleteI love seeing the moon- no matter the time of day.
ReplyDeleteI love that picture.
ReplyDeleteAw, that's lovely. I love catching little glimpses of things that trigger such strong memories. Great image and story.
ReplyDeleteI always find it special too :) Maybe we were looking at the same daytime moon one of those days.
ReplyDeleteThe moon does love you... just like me!
ReplyDelete:-)
Traci
How sweet. We can all use a little bit of everyday magic.
