Things I Do Not Understand

-Why are mustaches suddenly so popular all over the internet?
Did I miss something? Is there a reason for this? Everywhere I look, I see mustaches.

-Why don't I have a Sprinkles Cupcake vending machine in my house?
I would be a great product tester. Call me Sprinkles.

-Why does time have to change on Saturday?
Can this time change nonsense end now? Arizona doesn't change times, and they are fine.

-Why are Disney Channel kids show so annoying?
I'm looking at you Ant Farm and So Random.
Phineas and Ferb, I will always love you.

-Why haven't more people read this post from Mommy Nani Booboo, that so beautifully articulates the reasons I blog she blogs?
Seriously. Go read it now.

-Why won't Disney Channel play shows from my childhood?
Remember when Road to Avonlea used to be on Disney?
Yeah. Those were good times.

-Why did the Capitol assign me to District 1 when I registered for Panem citizenship?
Hunger Games Citizen Registration Card
I saw this on BlogHer, and had to do it.  It is official (as if it wasn't already) I'm Hunger Games obsessed.
Don't be concerned about my Distric 1 status,
I promise I will use all my goldsmithing to make Mockingjay pins.

-Why do I have 322 unread emails?
Wait. That one I do understand. I have been an email reading slacker this week.

-Why do people (my husband) put the toilet paper on on the roll upside down?
The toilet paper goes over the roll. Over! This is how it must be done.

What are you not understanding today?
Or do you have an answer for one of my questions - especially the mustache question, I feel like I've missed something important with all those mustaches. Why are they so popular?

Let's talk about it!

  1. The list of things that I do not understand would take up your whole blog which would not make me a good follower. I'm with you on the mustaches. I also don't understand why my son thinks poop is so funny. I'm sorry to say that I don't understand the District 1. And I'm headed to Mommy Nanni Booboo to find out why...

I do understand, however, that you rock!

    1. I don't understand why poop is funny, either. But I'm happy to know I'm not alone in my mustache confusion.

You don't understand Distric 1 - does that mean you haven't read Hunger Games? Because if you haven't, you need to go do that right now! (I'm bossy.)

      You rock too!!

  2. I think the mustache thing is supposed to be funny, that's why I keep seeing them on kittens.

    1. On kittens? Okay. I'll admit it. A mustache on a kitten might be kind of funny.

    2. I actually googled "I don't understand the whole mustache thing" and your blog came up first! LOL -- Glad I'm not alone! On the kitty thing - my cat came with a mustache naturally, cutest thing ever! We call him Mustache Mike - but mostly just Mike. Just thought I'd share - I think I may keep up with you!

    1. Maybe you just need to follow me around the internet. Or maybe not, because then you will be just as confused about mustaches as I am.

I'll leave a breadcrumb trail for you just in case ;-)

  4. I don't get the mustache thing either. At all. It's silly, but it isn't side splitting funny. Not to mention that those mustaches are usually accompanied by duck faces, which are also far from funny.

    1. Duck faces are awful, and they need to stop immediately!

  5. I don't get the fascination with Scarlet Johansen. She's a boring actress and I run into women at the ball who are prettier.

My kids are obsessed with Shake it Up and Austin and Ally. Horrible shows.

My teenager thinks club DJs are rock stars. Really? That's like the dumb kid cheating off the smart kids paper and getting credit for discovering a cure for cancer.

    1. I remember reading a post where you talked about the DJ thing. It is just so very wrong, and I don't understand it either.

Total agreement here about Scarlet Johansen.

Every new kid show that comes out seems to be worse than the last one. Clearly they do not have parents working on their development team.

  6. I haven't read the Hunger Games yet. I'm afraid it will wind up being like my twilight experience.

    1. Uhoh. What was your Twilight experience?

My only Twilight experience is that I haven't read them or seen the movies. I'm okay with that.

    2. TRIED to read Twilight. Got through the first one. Stopped. I couldn't put Hunger Games down. Amazing.

    3. I couldn't put the Hunger Games down either. It is SO good.

  7. Whoa, that Cupcake ATM costs $4 per cupcake? Dude, I can make like, a few dozen cupcakes for that money. Plus, then I can have bacon with them and... I forgot what I was gonna say, but now I feel the need to go get some bacon.

    1. Isn't that crazy? Of course, if it was in my house then they would be free, right? Right?

Cupcakes with bacon sprinkles. This is a good plan.

  8. Ha! I posted a "Possibly Unpopular Opinion" about the whole mustache mania a few months ago. I'm with you: mustaches on sticks/glasses/tattooed on fingers are WEIRD.

  10. I long ago gave up being a mustache fan... Many of my relationships have actually shaved their mustaches while with me and then gone back to the growth after. Haven't really noticed any decline myself. Men still seem to hide behind them. lol the rest you might be on your own for.

  11. I have to admit, I freaking love moustaches. Unless they are real. Then hell no. But still kinda hilarious.
I want another baby just so I can get one of these.

Clearly, you are in need of some sort of intervention. I think Chibi and I need to plan something immediately.

  12. Mustaches are this years narwhal. I don't make the indie craft trends, I just know them AFTER the fact. ;)

    1. I must be way out of the loop, because I missed the narwhal phase completely.

At least you aren't contributing to the mustaches!

  13. Oh Tracie - you're hilarious!!! Here it is 1:35 AM, and I'm laughing my head off. Good thing hubby's snoring so he can't hear me. I have no clue, and have been wondering the same thing about that mustache thing. Now, that vending machine... I'm all for that ! LOL

  14. Well I know there were moustaches at Blissdom that had to do with milk and / or The Lorax. There are a few floating out there with those in them. Even on moi!

But I still have no idea why so many Relevant photos last year ended up being moustached! That was weird!

    1. Right? I'm so confused by it!

At least the Lorax ones fit in with a movie character.

  15. I went to a mustache-themed party and won some mustache band-aids.

  16. I admit that I am missing the humor in mustaches as well. But one of my kids is into them!

Things I don't understand invclude Justin Bieber, why we have Daylight Savings, and what ever happened to neighbors baking cupcakes for each other.

Maybe I need to start that last one up again.

    =)

    1. Daylight Savings is so crazy. They don't have it in Arizona. I think the rest of us should just refuse to acknowledge it until it goes away.

I never had a neighbor bake cupcakes for me. I might need to rethink where I live.

    1. Best.Show.Ever.

We have a dvd that has a couple of episodes on it (I actually got it from Disney rewards points a couple of years ago) and Katarina and I have watched them over and over. She loves it just as much as I do!
