I have been sick all weekend, and a lot of NyQuil probably went into what I am going to type next...
After I complained that my medicine isn't working, and I still feel yucky. My husband insists that having sex would make me feel completely better and I would get well quicker.
Ladies, am I alone? Or does your husband say things like this, too?
Help me! (and send crackers and lots of tissues)
No, you are not alone! :) I don't hear this about being sick as much as I hear it about PMS'ing.
ReplyDeleteAll I'm going to say to that is.........not going to happen! lol
DeleteNo, you're really not. Him: "I know what will make your throat feel better... *eyebrow waggle*" Me: *eye roll*
ReplyDeleteThis is probably the best comment ever. #justsaying
DeleteMine does that, too. It's been nearly 8 years, and I still haven't managed to convince him that, no, his penis does NOT actually solve all the things.
ReplyDeleteHa!!
DeleteThomas sounds pretty normal to me!
ReplyDeleteYep! And normalcy is a good thing, right?
DeleteOf course he does. It is almost the only time he sees me in bed outside of passed out cold hours -- 2am till 7am. =)
ReplyDeleteIs it all that late-night facebooking that is keeping you up? hehe
DeleteI know what you mean. When you are busy, it is hard to find enough hours in the day.
LOL. It's a male thing. My ex used to do that. However, should the men be sick? It takes an act of God to make them feel better. Forget about sex. LOL.
ReplyDeleteTrue stuff!
DeleteMen... geez...
ReplyDeleteI'd rub my snotty tissues all over him & tell him you think its sexy. Payback.
YES! This is officially the answer to the "husbands think sex cures everything" theory.
DeleteI told Thomas that my friend Rebecca gave me a great idea ;-)
Ha ha ha ha ha.
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's an effective treatment though.
It really is not!
DeleteIt's definitely a guy thing. I really don't get it, when my husband is sick, he is in no way attractive.
ReplyDelete(visiting via Blogger Comment Club)
Right?
DeleteI don't get it either. But at least I'm not alone in this. lol
no you are not alone...
ReplyDelete=)
DeleteD'oh! Yes, yes he does. Although, we were BOTH sick this weekend. Middle girl is home sick today. So, he and I are hoping to re-connect sometime in April. Feel better, woman!
ReplyDelete(visiting via Blogger Comment Club, but am a regular visitor anyways)
Thanks!! I hope everyone in your house gets to feeling better soon, too.
DeleteYep. That is the end-all, be-all cure for EVERYTHING according to my husband.
ReplyDeleteIt must be a man thing.
DeleteSoo he thinks you need Peniscillin huh.. yeah typical male. In actuality he may not be too far from reality. Sex releases feel good endorphins, raise the heart rate and blood pressure, all things that can help the body fight back in a sickness way. I know I am not helping lol.
ReplyDeleteAngel, I just want you to know that you are now, officially, Thomas' favorite person in the whole entire world!
Delete...and I have heard the word "endorphins" about eleventy-hundred times in the last two days.
But I still love you!
They think they're so funny sometimes, don't they? :-)
ReplyDeleteYes. Yes they do!
DeleteOkay, that's hilarious. Sorry you feel horrible - sending feel better vibes your way!
ReplyDeleteThanks Megan!
DeleteHa! In the early days back when we were crazy in love and wouldn't come up for air while kissing, either one of us might have said that! But now, lo these many years later, the mere suggestion of it while sick would not work! I wouldn't even humor him.
ReplyDeleteHehe. Funny how things change after some time passes. This summer we will have our 10-year wedding anniversary, so I know what you mean!
DeleteOh, yes! My husband says that sex cures EVERYTHING! Even headaches.
ReplyDeleteEven headaches? It takes a brave man to try to assert that one!
DeleteHubby says a lot of research has gone into this and it is a proven FACT. LOL!!! They're hopeless, I tell ya!
ReplyDeleteFEEL BETTER SOON!
Totally hopeless!!
DeleteResearch. Bwahahaha! Nice try, Meggs-hubby, nice try!
This post made me *laugh* and no--you are NOT alone....my hubby thinks *anything* is an excuse for it, hahahaha :D
ReplyDeleteHahaha! It seems that all of our husbands have something in common! ;-)
