Is that cheating? Should I clear my mind before I start and then go from there?
I don't know if that is advisable, but we are about to find out....because I currently have no thoughts going on.
Not one.
Saturday was rather unremarkable. Katarina and I worked on a cross stitching project most of the day, except for the time we were reading. Exciting stuff. (actually, although that probably isn't very exciting - it was enjoyable)
Saturday night we watched a dvd of the Concert for George Harrison. Which was fabulous. So much good music. It was sad to watch it, though. And freaky just how much George's son looks like him.
That was the thrillingness of my weekend, and the excitement of the thoughts in my mind. Mostly the thought in my mind is why they didn't sing Got My Mind Set On You - which probably wasn't his best song, but has always been one of my favorites ever since I saw the video when I was a kid. (the video with the singing animal heads, not the video with the ballet dancer trapped in the box/machine/video-player thing. I'm not sure why there was two videos for that song). So now that song is stuck in my head. In a good way. As well as Give Me Love, which they did sing in the concert.
Do you have a favorite George Harrison song?
Its late and I dont have much on my mind either. Trying to figure out what to write about...I might have to sleep on it! :)
ReplyDeleteI remember that song! Now it's in my head too!! LOL
ReplyDeleteHere from SOC
Sounds like a nice weekend :)

Now that song is in my head, although I don't remember the video. BTW, my posts usually develop out of scribbles...the thoughts have to come from somewhere : )
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely not cheating to have an idea about what you're going to write about! I do that all of the time. The cool thing, though, is sometimes I find myself discovering something new even as I type!
ReplyDeleteI usually try to approach my SOC posts with a plan, too. But, recently, I haven't been able to and I think it's kind of cool that way. It's nice to hear what's going on "real time" in your brain.
ReplyDeleteGeorge Harrison was my favorite Beatle. When I was at their concert, everyone was yelling for Paul, John, or Ringo, but I was screaming for George. Got My Mind Set on You is one of my favorites, and now it's going on in my head and on You Tube!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had a great weekend over all, especially doing something fun together.
I'm sitting here thinking "I KNOW THAT SONG" and trying to hum it but I can't get the melody right in my head. LOL
ReplyDeleteI don't have a favorite George Harrison song, though if I heard one, I might say "That's George Harrison?" My friend dragged me to a Journey concert and I knew most of the songs, just didn't know they were Journey. LOL.
ReplyDeleteSometimes the best times are the low-key times. Your cross stitching, reading, quiet sounds LUSCIOUS!!!
Visiting from SOCSunday. Grateful to have found you!
I cannot go without telling you my favorite Beatles song as well, "Tell Me What You See" from Beatles VI. For George, "I Need You" from HELP. Blessings.
ReplyDeleteI had the same kind of weekend. And you know what? I love that I have nothing to say! It's so nice to be able to just veg. My husband, the Mr. Go-Go-Go, has been out of town all week and so it's given me the luxury of just being still. I love that, especially since school starts up next week.
ReplyDeleteAnd George Harrison was fabulous, overshadowed by the other two brilliant Beatles and they were brilliant, but George should have gotten more credit for his talent.
Sounds like you have that song stuck in everyone's head now, lol! Sounds like a relaxing weekend!
ReplyDeleteI've always been a "My Sweet Lord" fan but definitely "Here Comes the Sun" is the favorite.
ReplyDeletePersonally, I think cross-stitching with your little one sounds awesome!
:-)

Now I have that song going through my head! Maybe they didn't sing it because I think it's by the Traveling Wilburys. Yep. I'm old. I remember all that!
