Being the second book in the series, I felt a little lost on some points where the author referenced things from the first book without really explaining them in this book, but that is to be expected when you don't start a series from the beginning. That aside, I enjoyed this book. The plot twists and turns were well placed and the characters were appealing. They come across as real, instead of the "perfect, plastic Christians" you usually find in this genre. I felt that the crime investigation portion of the story had a good mix of forensics and old fashioned detective work. This is the first book I have read by Sibella Giorello, but I plan on checking out the rest of the series.
