A man saw him looking at his car and came over. He told Thomas that he is a mechanic, and asked him what was wrong with the car. After looking at it, he tells Thomas that it wasn't the electric, it was just the battery, and then he noticed that the battery is still under warranty until October!! The mechanic gave Thomas a jump and he headed towards Wal-Mart to get the battery replaced.
On the way to Wal-Mart, the battery dies again.....so Thomas pushes the car off the road and makes a sign that says "Please help, battery died - I have jumper cables" after just a few minutes a man turns around and comes to help him. He jump started our car and Thomas was able to make it to the Wal-Mart to get the battery replaced for free (since it was still under warranty)
The new battery works great and he was able to get two jobs before dark. Praise the Lord! The Bible says that we do not have because we do not ask. Yesterday Thomas asked for help and the Lord sent him a mechanic, a helpful stranger, a working battery, and two jobs. God provides!
Sounds like someone was looking out for him!!!

Hey there I'm following back from Friday Follow. Hope you have a good friday!
ReplyDeleteAmen! I am also reminded that sometimes when God makes something stop working (like a car, or a spaceheater, or something electric) it may be because He is protecting us from a car accident or a fire!
ReplyDeleteIt is so true. If you take the time to ask god he will help.
ReplyDeleteHi Tracie,

Hi Tracie. Turned out to be a Blessed day! Thanks for supporting Friday Follow. Have a wonderful weekend. Rita @ http://one2try.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful answers to prayer! I love hearing how God provides for His children. :)
ReplyDeleteThis post reminds me of the Scripture, "God is a very present help in time of trouble."
ReplyDeleteI've had such things happen to me many times during my lifetime, and I'm always left in awe, and feeling a bit sheepish about my wobbly faith.
(Decades ago, when my first hubby and I were starting our family, we were living in poverty. We'd received a disconnection notice from the electric company. Unless we came up with a certain amount by Monday, we'd be without electricity. That weekend at church a little old lady we'd never seen before walked up to us and handed my hubby an envelope. Guess what it contained? Yep, the exact amount we needed to pay our bill!)
He was really lucky to find a kind person who helped !
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome. Mr.4444 is the kind of guy who stops to help everyone. Small gestures make such a big difference in the world, clearly.
ReplyDeleteSmall gestures the end up taking a huge burden from us are without a doubt a blessing.
ReplyDeleteI love reading stuff like this.
I'm glad someone helped him. My car broke down about 2 years ago, and no one stopped to help me. I was stuck in the middle of the road. My husband finally made it there to help me, and when we pushed it off the road, another man on his way to church stopped to help. He was late because he helped us. The next day we went to an autoparts store to get a new alternator, and the guy who helped us was working there! I always try to help people if I can.
ReplyDeletePraise God! He is good. I know that terrible feeling when the car breaks down, and you wonder how you'll ever come up with the money to get it fixed.
ReplyDeleteFate works in incredible ways, doesn't it? How heartening that your angels were watching over you on this day.
