I cracked open the door and saw some rain...it was very cold!! "This is good," I thought, "The snow is coming!" Flip on the local weather and the guy keeps saying, "we just received more calls from viewers telling us they have snow" Thomas and I went outside (I wasn't going to wake Katarina up until it was really snowing) to see if it was just rain or if there was snow mixed in. I think that I might have seen a couple of snowflakes................maybe? What do you think?
My hopeful optimism kicked in at this point and I was sure that that it was about to be inches of snow any minute...but my cold awareness also kicked in. I decided that my jeans just weren't going to cut it in the warmth area, so I figured I would wear my fleece pajama bottoms and put the jeans on over them (I'm still not sure where this idea came from, but I was working on less than two hours sleep and cold medicine, so that should explain a lot) Getting those jeans to go over the pajamas was a
Finally, Thomas and I, ready to brave the cold.....planning snowmen and snowball fights.........discussing whether or not it would be fun to wake Katarina up by putting snow on her face............stepped outside......and saw.............
Absolutely No Snow!!
(that red string is the tie for my pajamas, I know that everyone will want to replicate that special fashion moment)
Here is a tip Florida weathermen. When you say snow, people expect to see more than three flakes in the dark at 6am. We want inches.....at least half an inch. Otherwise, don't get our hopes up with your false snow warnings!
Aww. My niece was hoping for some snow down there too. I'd gladly box some up and send it down there to ya'll if I could.
ReplyDeleteLOL I would be pissed to if they said snow and I didn't seen any snow!
ReplyDeleteaw sorry you didn't get any snow. Especially after putting jeans on over pajama pants. I don't think that is even possible for me!!!
ReplyDeleteCan I come to Florida? Now? I'm sick of snow and ice and everything else weather-y!
ReplyDeleteI figured I just "missed" the snow by sleeping in late, but apparently we didn't have any here. We just got some cold, misty rain.
ReplyDeleteIm LMAO over the red string!
ReplyDeleteawesome!
Hahaha ! that was the same here in Belgium. It started with snowing quite heavily and nobody had expected this, weatherman included ! The country was in a chaos ! I tell you ! Since that day (it was last week) they announce snow every day and make panic, we should fill in our fridges and deepfreezes, buy salt for the sidewalk, not take the car and and and .... since then it just had snowed once ... a little ! No catastrophe !
ReplyDeleteI love the fashion statement! Sorry you're disappointed about the snow...or lack thereof. For us, it's coming in through the roof, so I'd be glad to ship some to you.
ReplyDeleteWhat happens if you pull the red string? Maybe it will snow.
ReplyDeletesorry but you made me lol about setting your alarm clock for snow...I forget that not everyone hates snow. You can some visit here and play in it to your hearts content. I even have real snow pants you can wear... :)
ReplyDeleteI was hoping for snow for you as I read the post! I'm from New Orleans, so I know that "wish it would snow" feeling! We're thinking about going to Cali next month, up in the mountain area and oh please, please, I want to see snow!!
ReplyDeleteLOL...Colleen!
ReplyDeleteTracie, I don't mind a few flakes at all - in fact I wish that's the way it would be every time we get snow!
