Princess Bride is quite the contrast to the others lol Oddly, it's the only one I've seen.
ReplyDeleteHappy T13!
Ah, I take it you're not a Zombieland kind of girl.
ReplyDeleteI too love the Princess Bride and LOTR.
ReplyDeleteHappy TT.
I love Fried Green Tomatoes. I watch it whenever I'm sick. I don't know why. I guess it's just my movie of choice when I have a cold.
ReplyDeleteI only recognize three on your list, and now I have a strong desire to check out the rest.
ReplyDeleteI have not seena couple of these, but you hit six of my faves-- numbers 1, 2, 5, 8, 10 and 11. Happy Thursday!

ReplyDeleteArsenic and laces is sooo cute ! I have seen it several times. I don't know if I have seen the other movies, because they often change the title when it is translated into french.
ReplyDeleteGreat choices Tracie. I would also go for this kind.
ReplyDeleteYou have several I like on your list. I especially like Gosford Park. My 13 are HERE.
ReplyDeleteWe have a few favorites in common. I never really got into Princess Bride but my family loves it :)
ReplyDeleteI recognized 10 and several of those were favorites of mine too. I'm curious about Searching for Angela. Is Howard's End the one with Emma Thompson?
ReplyDeleteGreat list! I'm glad I'm not the only one with movie taste that's all over the place.
ReplyDeleteCalico Contemplations
The Lord of the Rings trilogy, Princess Bride and Gosford Park are on my watch-over-and-over list, though Stranger Than Fiction was a favorite. Just haven't rewatched it yet.
ReplyDeleteA few of my watch-over-and-over films are:
Star Wars saga
X-Men trilogy
Young Frankenstein
1939 Wuthering Heights
Gone With the Wind
Phantom of the Opera
I am with you on this list . So much pathos in atonement an unforgettable film sk
ReplyDeleteLove the Lord of the Rings trilogy; I think they're among the best movies ever made. Great TT. Thanks for visiting my blog.
ReplyDeleteOooh! Arsenic & Old Lace is one of my favorite movies & especially appropriate at this time of year!
ReplyDelete(I'm a big fan of The Lord Of the Rings Trilogy too)
I didn't know there WAS a movie version of Arsenic and Old Lace. I shouldn't be surprised that there is, I know... everything is a movie these days (except my books, but that's a matter of time. Right?).
ReplyDeleteNeat choices.
I'd have The Mummy and Cold Comfort Farm on my list. Well...and the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
ReplyDeleteI've hardly seen any of the movies on your list. I generally go for more comedy or action movies if I'm watching with hubby.
ReplyDeleteI didn't know Arsenic was a book, either! I've only known it as a play.
ReplyDeleteToo funny, huh? All these different formats.
I love Mary Poppins! I cannot wait for my sons to get older so we can watch the Lord Of The Rings.
ReplyDeleteI haven't seen some of those is so long. I have about half of them in my dvd collection, too. I love old movies.
ReplyDeleteHaha! I probably have the entire Princess Bride movie memorized!
ReplyDeleteTo Kill A Mockingbird, 12 Angry Men, Best In Show, The Holy Grail - a small sampling of my faves. The Princess Bride is a goodie!
ReplyDeleteI've only watched #4 and #8, but I loved them!! =)
ReplyDeleteI still watch Mary Poppins with my two daughters - love the music!!
ReplyDeleteThank you for being my #51 follower! :D And you have a lot of good movies here! the LOTR series are my favorites and I heart Princess Bride as well! :D
ReplyDeleteI adore Philadelphia Story, Princess Bride
ReplyDelete& Fried Green Tomatoes, but have to say that I think Stranger Than Fiction
was robbed of Oscars -- I really thought that movie should have won Best Actor at least.
Hmm ... I've enjoyed many of these movies too but a few are unfamiliar. Perhaps I'll check them out as time permits since you love them so much ;--)
ReplyDeleteHugs and blessings,
Mary Poppins... one of my all-time favorites!!!
ReplyDeleteSorry, a little late in getting over here. Busy weekend! :~D
