He's not too short to hurt children.........

A judge in Nebraska said that Richard Thompson, a five-foot tall child molester was too short to suvive in prision so he just gets 10 years probation!

Why is this judge working so hard to protect this child molester?? Did he forget that the short person who was accually hurt is the little girl this guy molested??

Kids are short.....and innocent-let's protect them!

    I have not read the article yet, but I can already say this is one of the stupidest things I have ever heard come out of the justice (and I use the term loosely) system. I cannot believe a judge would say that - and he/she should be removed from the bench!!

    I didn't read the article yet either, but that is just so wrong!! They have no problem putting 14 & 15 year old kids in jail, what does the size of the person have to do with anything??? You are so right... the one that is hurt the most is the child he molested!!!

    I just don't get it. Simply put, in cases where children have been hurt, I'm for cruel and unusual punishment. Too short for prison? I don't buy it. Ok, I better get down from my soapbox..... Have a great evening!

    That's just nuts...the kids he molested were short, too, and THEY didn't have an "easy ride!" Plus, not discriminating based on height works both ways. ;)

    I do not understand this at all. Perhaps that judge is just olain ignorant. There is no excuse for giving any child molester probation. How can a judge in this day and age not know that child molesters will do this again, if given the opportunity...and being where tempation is, it WILL happen again. When will they ever learn.

    Since when did we as a society start caring if a child molester survives in prison? That's the one place where they can be expected to get whats coming to them. Its called justice. Maybe the judge needs a refresher course.

    Hi Michele sent me. I didn't read this article but I do know that child molesters do not fare well in prison. I agree his size shouldn't have been a factor.

    When we try to explain to our kids why society seems to be falling apart, we should look toward examples like this as catalysts for the downfall.

    If you do the crime, you do the time. If your height's an issue, maybe NOT breaking the law in the first place would be the best place to start.

    This will sound incredibly mean-spirited, but when they talk about child molesters and how they are the least respected within the prison hierarchy, all I can think is, "good, they deserve it."

    I know that means I'm likely going to roast in a very hot place. But I can't imagine anyone ever going easy on a criminal because jail would be too tough. How unreal.
